Is insulin safe to use in eye drops?
Insulin has an extensive safety history in off-label ophthalmic use. Our research and compounding process prioritize ocular tolerability and dosing safety.
How do the drops reach the brain?
The eye is connected to the brain through nerves and fluid pathways. Research has shown that insulin delivered as eye drops can move along peri‑neural routes and reach the central nervous system, where it may influence cognitive metabolism and signaling.
Is this product FDA approved?
The active ingredient, insulin, is FDA‑approved for other uses. The compounded ophthalmic formulation is personalized and requires a prescription. As a personalized compounded drug, it is not FDA‑reviewed.
Who can access this treatment
Where legally permitted, patients may undergo telehealth intake with our in‑house physicians. If appropriate, a patient‑specific compounded preparation may be prescribed and filled by our pharmacy.
What does “patent pending” mean?
It means the novel formulation and use of ophthalmic insulin for cognitive purposes has been filed with patent authorities and is under review.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is this product?
It is a compounded eye drop formulation containing FDA approved ingredients, designed to deliver insulin to the brain through the ocular route for potential benefit in Alzheimer’s disease.
How does it work?
The ingredients support brain energy metabolism, synaptic signaling, and neuroprotection. Together, they enable insulin to reach brain tissues where it may restore function and slow decline.
Is this FDA-approved for Alzheimer’s?
Not yet. All ingredients are already FDA-approved for other uses, but their combination for Alzheimer’s is considered off-label. Physicians may prescribe it with informed consent, especially when conventional options are limited.
Is there scientific support?
Yes. Multiple studies have shown that the active ingredient delivered intranasally improves memory and cognition in Alzheimer’s disease. Ocular delivery is a novel alternative pathway that may provide similar or enhanced benefits.
How is it given?
A few drops are placed into the eye once or twice daily. The regimen may vary depending on physician assessment and patient response.
Who can use it?
Patients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or mild cognitive impairment, upon prescription by a licensed physician. Suitability depends on individual health status, other medications, and physician guidance.
How soon will I see results?
Some patients may notice improvements in attention, memory, or daily functioning within weeks to months. Results vary and concurrent monitoring is essential.
Is it a cure?
No. Alzheimer’s is a complex disease with no known cure. The goal of this therapy is to slow decline, improve cognition, and enhance quality of life.
Where can I get it?
It is available only through licensed compounding pharmacies and requires a doctor’s prescription.
